Grex Regulator and Filter

The Grex regulator and filter is the same component that is on our compressor, but is provided as a stand-alone item for those who want to utilize their own air source. The regulator comes with a 1/4" F to 1/8" M (AD-12) adapter for the input side of the device and 1/8" M to 1/8" M adapter (AD-5) for the output side of the device. 1/4" is the typical thread size used in compressor shop systems.
Although most compressors have a regulator and filter at the compressor, when operating at low pressure for an airbrush (typically around 25 psi), the air hose of the compressor acts like a long skinny air tank and the pressure can fluctuate within the hose enough to impact the quality of the spray pattern. I strongly recommend that, if using shop air, you leave the air pressure at the compressor set to typical pressure for your shop, and that you use a secondary regulator adjacent to your airbrush work station. I do this in my shop and I capture additional moisture in my filter.
